Amerex Energy Services Hires Melissa Mabe as Senior Energy Consultant

HOUSTON – July 9, 2012 – Amerex Energy Services, a division of Amerex Brokers LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GFI Group Inc., (NYSE: GFIG), has hired Melissa Mabe as a Senior Energy Consultant. Ms. Mabe will report to Jeff Shoaf, SVP of Amerex Energy Services and will be based in Houston where she will focus on new customer development as well as helping customers devise the best strategy for their energy needs.

Ms. Mabe has over 10 years of extensive direct sales and indirect sales experience in the deregulated electricity and natural gas markets. She most recently comes to Amerex from Spark Energy and prior to that she spent over seven years at GDF Suez Energy, N.A.
